GHRP-2 10mg
What is GHRP-2?
GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide belonging to the growth hormone-releasing peptide family. It is a potent agonist of the GHSR-1a receptor, stimulating growth hormone (GH) secretion from the anterior pituitary in research models.
Compared to GHRP-6, GHRP-2 generally produces higher peak GH levels with less appetite stimulation.
Mechanism of Action
GHRP-2 binds to GHSR-1a receptors in the hypothalamus and pituitary, mimicking the activity of ghrelin. This interaction activates intracellular pathways, increasing GH release without significantly affecting cortisol or prolactin levels in most research settings.
Its strong GH-stimulating capacity and minimal appetite stimulation make it a preferred choice in certain experimental designs.
Research Applications
- Growth hormone secretion studies
- Muscle recovery and tissue repair models
- Bone density and joint research
- Comparative studies with other GHRPs
- Metabolic regulation investigations
GHRP-2 is often compared to GHRP-6 and Hexarelin to assess relative potency, duration, and side effect profiles in controlled experiments.
Chemical Profile
Sequence: D-Ala-D-2-Nal-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2
Molecular Formula: C45H55N9O6
Molecular Weight: ~817.0 g/mol
The hexapeptide design ensures high receptor affinity and stability for consistent experimental outcomes.
Comparison to Other Secretagogues
While GHRP-6 is noted for appetite stimulation, GHRP-2 offers a more targeted GH release profile with minimal orexigenic effects. Hexarelin often produces even longer-lasting GH spikes.
Storage & Stability
Store lyophilized GHRP-2 at −20°C, away from light and moisture. After reconstitution, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within research protocol timelines. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
For Research Use Only
GHRP-2 10mg is intended solely for laboratory research by qualified professionals. Not for human or veterinary use. Handle according to all applicable regulations.
